Points for learning, a contest for your house

पढ़ाई पर पॉइंट, हाउस के लिए मुक़ाबला।

XP, streaks, House Wars and quiz battles give students a reason to open the app every day. The points come from showing up, doing well and taking part.

In short: every student in Smart Gurukul has one XP score. It goes up with attendance, assessment results, quiz wins and participation awarded by teachers. That XP drives streaks, weekly leagues and school-wide House Wars. Students also play live Battle Room quizzes and 1v1 Arena challenges built from their teachers’ own questions.

The Game Hub

One XP score. Many ways to earn it.

XP is the one currency behind everything, so it all feels like one game rather than five separate features.

  • Attendance: each day present earns XP and grows the streak.
  • Assessments: recorded results earn XP.
  • Quiz wins: Arena and Battle Room wins earn XP.
  • Participation: teachers can award XP and house points for effort in class.

Why games help in a school app

Most school apps are opened by the office and ignored by students. When attendance, results and participation turn into XP, students have their own reason to open the app, and each time they do, they also see their attendance, results and school notices.

It rewards what schools already value. A streak is built by coming to school, and a league rank by effort across the week. House Wars turn individual effort into team spirit, familiar to every Indian school with a house system.

What teachers control

  • The questions: Battle Room and Arena quizzes use questions teachers write for their own subjects and classes. Quiz battles start once teachers have added questions.
  • Recognition: teachers can award participation XP and house points.
  • Houses: the school sets up its own houses and names.

AI quiz generation helps teachers build question banks faster.

FAQ

Gamification: common questions

What is gamified learning in a school app?

It means adding game ideas such as points, streaks, leagues and contests to school activities. In Smart Gurukul, students earn XP for attendance, assessment results, quiz wins and participation, and use it to climb leagues and win House Wars.

Does it distract students from studies?

The game rewards school behaviour: coming to school, doing well in assessments, and answering subject quizzes written by their teachers. Playing it means doing more of what school already asks.

Who writes the quiz questions?

Teachers. Battle Room and Arena quizzes use questions teachers write for their own subject and class, and they can generate questions with AI and review them first.

Can we use our school’s own houses?

Yes. The school sets up its own houses, and student XP plus teacher awards feed the House Wars standings.
